Marry Me Chicken Pasta

No chopping veg or meat or cooking chicken from raw! All ready in less than 15 minutes.

How to make:

Add the pasta to a pan of boiling water, bring back to the boil and simmer for 7-8 minutes. Drain once cooked.

Whilst the pasta is cooking, add a splash of oil, onions and garlic to a large pan on medium heat. Cook for 2 minutes until softened.

Add the chicken, pesto and flour and stir to combine, stir in the stock and bring to the boil.

Stir in the spinach and reduce to a simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the spinach and chicken has defrosted, and the sauce slightly thickened.

Add the elmlea and the pasta, stir and serve.

  • 400g of Roasted and Sliced Cooked chicken
  • 350g Pasta
  • 100g diced onion
  • 2 x frozen garlic blocks
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Jar of red pesto
  • 400ml chicken stock
  • 150ml Elmlea
  • 3 frozen spinach blocks

Can I cook the chicken slices straight from frozen?

A: Yes! Our chicken slices are fully cooked and can be used directly from frozen. For hot dishes, simply add them toward the end of cooking until heated through (approximately 2-3 minutes).

These are quickest to defrost in the microwave, place on a microwave plate on full power for 1-2 minutes. But remember you don’t need to defrost these before cooking, simply add to the sauce frozen to heat through. 

Once opened, use within 3 days for optimal freshness. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container.

While our slices are already cooked, you can certainly add them to grilling recipes! For best results, add them toward the end of cooking just to heat through and get those delicious grill marks, about 1 minute per side.
