Hidden Veg Chicken Pasta

A pasta sauce packed with veg, and absolutely no chopping! From the freezer to the plate in less than 20 minutes.

How to make:

Bring the pasta to boil and reduce to a simmer for 7-8 minutes, drain when cooked.

Whilst the pasta is cooking add a splash of oil, onions and garlic to a large pan over a medium heat. Cook for 2 minutes until softened.

Add peppers, carrots and leeks and cook for a few minutes until softened, stirring frequently.

Pour in the chopped tomatoes and bring to the boil.

Remove from the heat and blend the sauce.

Once smooth return to the heat and stir in the Philadelphia.

Add the chicken and simmer until defrosted.

Stir in the pasta.

Top with cheese and enjoy!

  • 400g of Roasted and Sliced Cooked chicken
  • 350g pasta
  • 100g diced onions
  • 2 frozen garlic cubes
  • 200g frozen peppers
  • 200g frozen carrots
  • 100g frozen leeks
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 150g philiadelphia
  • Grated cheese

Can I cook the chicken slices straight from frozen?

A: Yes! Our chicken slices are fully cooked and can be used directly from frozen. For hot dishes, simply add them toward the end of cooking until heated through (approximately 2-3 minutes).

These are quickest to defrost in the microwave, place on a microwave plate on full power for 1-2 minutes. But remember you don’t need to defrost these before cooking, simply add to the sauce frozen to heat through. 

Once opened, use within 3 days for optimal freshness. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container.

While our slices are already cooked, you can certainly add them to grilling recipes! For best results, add them toward the end of cooking just to heat through and get those delicious grill marks, about 1 minute per side.
